Navy

From the birth of the rebellion the navy has played an important role in defence against the tyrannical Imperial regime. Though from simple beginnings the navy has quickly grown with the formation the Rebel Alliance. Gone are the days of unorganised resistance and now is the time of coordinated attacks from a united force. Today the navy is divided into three main divisions:

Fleet Command

Capital ships are the navy’s largest and most powerful ships. These ships are tasked with a number of roles including attacks on soft Imperial targets as well as large troop deployments. Another important role is to keep the Alliance a mobile and elusive force, allowing fighters to launch deep into the enemy’s supposed strong holds as well as supporting remote rebel bases. Refitted civilian ships, stolen Imperial ones and planetary defence fleets are just a number of sources from which these ships have been acquired. As such Marauders and CR-90s are the most common vessels found in today’s navy.

Logistics

The main role of logistics is the transport of supplies and personnel. This is a vitally important task for any military force and hence this division has been termed the backbone of the Alliance by many. Whether it’s smuggling arms to support a resistance or breaking through an Imperial blockade to evacuate troops, the logistics division is there to support the war effort.
