With the birth of the New Order, the tyranny and the horrors of the Galactic Empire became evident to the whole galaxy. There is little to stand between the Empire's and its utter dominance of the known universe. With every single system, that fell to the might of the imperial forces, the hope for freedom has been constantly decreasing.

However, there are still some, that dare stand against the tyrannical yoke of oppression. Small cells of resistance fighters and former allies of now suppressed worlds have established a larger organization and use this, to coordinate their efforts of restoring the democracy of the Old Republic, interfering with the workings of the Empire where they can. Freedom and democracy are their ideals and their resolve only grows stronger with every act of violence committed by the Empire's forces.

Usually just referred to as a group of unorganized insurgents, that strive to bring disorder and fear into the lives of every imperial citizen, all the Empire's propaganda can't negate the truth. The ranks of the Rebellion are growing with each day and as the oppression grows, so does the number of those that openly oppose it. Not tied down by the narrow vision of only accepting humans in their ranks, the Rebellion rather benefits from the skills, that its many non-human members add to their forces. Coupled with resourceful young minds, the Rebellion's military is a force to be reckoned with.
